Terms of Service for Alius

Welcome to Alius! These Terms of Service ("Terms") constitute a legally binding agreement between you ("Merchant", "You") and Alius ("we", "us", "our") regarding your use of the Alius app ("the App"), which is provided through the Shopify App Store.

By installing or using our App, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree with these Terms, please uninstall Alius immediately.

1. App Functionalities

  • 1.1 Notification & Triggers: The App provides automated notifications to platforms like Slack, Telegram, and Discord, according to rules and triggers you formulate. You maintain full responsibility for the contents of the messages dispatched via the App and for the trigger conditions.
  • 1.2 Webhook Handling: We process incoming webhooks from your Shopify store related to Products, Orders, Customers, and Inventory changes to determine if any of your specified triggers match. Matched events are summarized (for example, a product title and the fields that changed) into the notification message.
  • 1.3 Integrations: You are solely responsible for ensuring you have correct authorizations to set up message templates and integrations to third-party services (such as Slack Workspaces, Telegram Chats, and Discord Servers and Channels).

2. Accounts and Data Permissions

2.1 When you install the App, you grant it the right to read and configure:

  • read/write access to Products
  • read/write access to Inventory
  • read access to Customers
  • read access to Orders

2.2 We do not share your app data with third parties unless required by law.

3. Fees and Billing

3.1 The App utilizes Shopify's API for managing recurring subscriptions. Any fees associated with Alius are billed exclusively through your existing Shopify account as part of your regular invoice cycle.

3.2 You can cancel your subscription at any time by uninstalling the App from your Shopify admin panel. Uninstalling the app revokes our billing mechanisms.

4. Uninstallation and Data Removal

4.1 You can uninstall the App at any time from your Shopify store.

4.2 When the App is uninstalled, all store data (configurations, customer snapshots, order snapshots, integrations, session tokens) is permanently erased from our servers in accordance with Shopify's GDPR compliance mandates, primarily upon receiving the "shop/redact" webhook request (within 48 hours of your uninstallation).

4.3 It is your responsibility to manage the backup of any app configurations and templates before uninstalling, as uninstallation will result in permanent erasure without recovery options.

5. Limitation of Liability

The App is provided on an "as-is" and "as-available" basis without any warranties of any kind. We make no guarantee that notifications (like Slack messages) will be delivered seamlessly, on time, or without errors, as these rely on third-party APIs beyond our control. We are not liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages resulting from any issue with our services (including but not limited to missed alerts or downtime).

6. Changes to these Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at our discretion. If we make any material adjustments, we will notify you through an announcement in the App dashboard or via email.
