How to Set Up Telegram Alerts for Your Shopify Store

Short answer: install Alius from the Shopify App Store, open Integrations → Telegram and click Connect. How to connect Alius to Telegram

Step 1: Get your connection link

In Alius, go to Integrations → Telegram and click Connect. Alius creates a one-time link to its Telegram bot. The link is valid for 15 minutes.

Step 2: Open the link and tap Start

The link opens a chat with the Alius bot. Tap Start. Telegram sends the bot your one-time code, the bot confirms, and Alius shows Telegram as Connected. Want alerts in a group instead? Add the Alius bot to the group and send /start followed by the code from the link.

Step 3: Send a test

Click Send test notification to check that messages arrive. If Telegram ever limits the message rate, Alius retries automatically and logs any failure in your notification history.

Step 4: Create your alerts

Go to Automations, pick an event, add conditions if you want, and choose Telegram as the destination. A good first set: new orders, orders over your average order value, and refunds.

Tips for Telegram alerts that don't get muted

• Keep Telegram for urgent events. Big orders, refunds, out of stock. Put routine events in a daily digest instead (Pro and Max).
• Use a group for the team and your private chat for alerts only you need.
• Add conditions — such as total price greater than 300 — so every ping is worth reading.
